In the not too distant future the majority of TVs will no longer have terrestrial TV tuners. This means that distributing signals via RF from one source to multiple sources will no longer be possible. COFDM (coded orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) modulators have been introduced to allow distribution of a analogue composite AV source to DVB-T tuners via coax. These modulators are currently very expensive so are generally used in commercial applications like offices and hotels. There are modulators with single AV inputs, multiple AV inputs also built in satellite receivers with cam slots.
The COFDM base band signal is modulated on an RF carrier that can be adjusted at the output to the UHF and UHF bands. Most modulators have remote control. Some can be programmed remotely via the internet.
Televes, Promax, Triax and Ikusi manufacture COFDM modulators
